Tape Case Study Problem: Hubbell was looking to reduce the cost of a tape material while staying within the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories and reduce lead-times for ordering. Solution: Penmar Industries worked with raw material suppliers to find a superior product. Once that was accomplished we then developed a new process for converting the tape to Hubbell’s specifications. Process: Examine the real needs of Hubbell Develop larger spools reducing lead-times Keeping an inventory on hand at all times JAS - added 2 more lines. Packaging Case Study Problem: Field Service teams were going out to customers with one large carton containing three cartons of materials needed for installing U-Verse (DSL, Phone & Television) services. Not all pieces were correctly labeled or needed for each application. Solution: Penmar slashed staging and delivery overhead for U-Verse Services by providing a strapping system with handles for the field kits. This allowed for the boxes needed for each installation to be assembled as needed allowing the teams to see exactly what they were bringing to the installation.
