Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals A. Mobility Projects in the Field of: i. Education, Training ii. Youth B. Large Scale European Voluntary Service Events; C. Joint Master Degrees D. Master Student Loan Guarantee.

A. Mobility Projects i) Education and Training: for higher education students and staff for Vocational Education and Training learners and staff for school staff for adult education staff ii) Youth for young people and youth workers

i) Education and Training: Major Changes DS & ECTS Labels have been abolished Instead a new recognition tool will be launched Erasmus Bilateral Agreement has been replaced by Erasmus + Interinstitutional Agreement with a new format Scanned copies of the signed agreements will be accepted

i) Education and Training: For Higher Education Students Major Changes in Student Mobility: Same student may benefit from mobility up to 12 months maximum, per each cycle of study (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.) independently from the number and type of mobility activities (including traineeship) Starting from , Erasmus + countries will be able to send and receive students & staff to and from partner countries outside the Europe Area

i) Education and Training: For Higher Education Students No longer EILC courses from ; instead online linguistic support initially for 5 languages: EN, DE, ES, FR, IT New format for Learning Agreement: 15 pages including 3 sections: “before mobility”, “during mobility”, “after mobility” Signed scanned copies eligible The list of courses both at the partner university and reciprocal courses recognized at METU Reason for course change The beginning and end dates of the mobility

i) Education and Training: For Higher Education Students Major Changes in Traineeship: Duration: between 2-12 months Students will also be able to benefit from traineeship 12 months after graduation on condition that they apply in the last year of their study

i) Education and Training: For Higher Education Staff Major Changes: Staff Mobility for Teaching: Duration: 2 days – 2 months (excluding travel time) On condition of 8 hours lecture Staff Mobility for Training: Duration: 2 days – 2 months (excluding travel time) Apart from the regular trainings, courses, internships are eligible (except for conferences or congresses)

i) Education and Training: Major Changes in Grants Student Mobility Grants: More than one and maxiumum up to 12 months per each cycle of study independently from type of mobility activities (including traineeship) Grants set by the EU Commission in 3 distinct categories of countries depending on their living cost: -Group I: maximum 500 Euros monthly -Group II: between Euros monthly -Group III: minimum 150 Euros monthly Traineeship: Student mobility grants Euros monthly

i) Education and Training: Major Changes in Grants Group 1: maximum 500 Euros monthly Program Countries with higher living costs: Denmark, Ireland, France, Italy, Austria, Finland, Sweden, United Kingdom, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland Group 2: Euros monthly Program Countries with medium living costs: Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Spain, Croatia, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Iceland, Turkey Group 3: minimum 150 Euros monthly Program Countries with lower living costs: Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

i) Education and Training: Major Changes in Grants Higher Education Staff Grants Set by the EU Commission; 4 distinct categories of countries -Group I: between Euros per day Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, UK -Group II: between Euros per day Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, France,Italy, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Hungary, Austria, Poland, Romania, Finland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey -Group III: between Euros per day Germany, Spain, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, Slovakia, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia -Group IV: between Euros per day Estonia, Croatia, Lithuania, Slovenia

A. Mobility Projects ii) Youth: Mobility projects for young people and youth workers a) Mobility of Young People 1. Youth Exchanges: - Up to 21 days - Non-formal education techniques such as workshops 2. European Voluntary Service - Up to 12 months - Unpaid and full time voluntary service - Accreditation is required for participating institutions

A. Mobility Projects ii) Youth: Mobility projects for young people and youth workers b) Mobility of Youth Workers - Participation in seminars, training courses, study visits etc. - Job shadowing/observation period abroad - Application to the National Agency 3 times/year

Action 1: B. Large Scale European Voluntary Service Events Minimum 30 volunteers aged Up to 2 months Unpaid, voluntary and full time service European or worldwide events In the field of youth, culture and sport Such as World Youth Summits, European Capital of Culture etc. Application directly to the Commission

Action 1: C. Joint Master Degrees Full degree scholarships to the best Master Students Worldwide Continuation and strengthening of Erasmus Mundus Master Courses An international study program of 60, 90 or 120 ECTS Joint degrees or multiple degrees Funding for 4 or 5 years covering 3 consecutive student intakes Applicant/Coordinator: a HEI from Erasmus + countries Application: March 27, 2014; directly to the Commission

C. Joint Master Degrees A minimum of 75 % of scholarships to partner countries Funding for consortium management and costs to the institution: - for invited scholars: € for the prepatory year € per each intake year - for students’ scholarships: € per student/year (for tuition fee, insurance, travel and subsistence costs)

D. Master Student Loan Guarantee Master's level students apply individually to banks Loans on affordable conditions by banks in national countries Up to 2 years In cooperation with European Investment Bank Group

Action 2: Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices This Key Action supports: a) Strategic Partnerships in the field of education, training and youth; b) Knowledge Alliances; c) Sector Skills Alliances; d) Capacity Building in the field of youth.

Action 2: a) Strategic Partnerships in the Field of Education, Training and Youth Organizations, enterprises, public authorities, civil society organizations active in different socio-economic sectors cooperate to implement innovative practices leading to high quality teaching, training, learning and youth work, institutional modernization and societal innovation. Examples to activities supported: - Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils (5days to 2 months); - Intensive Study Programs (5 days to 2 months); - Long-term study mobility of pupils (2 to12 months); - Long-term teaching or training assignments (2 to12 months); Application: to National Agency twice a year: April 30, October 1

Action 2: b) Knowledge Alliances Strengthens Europe's innovation capacity and fosters innovation in higher education, business and the broader socio-economic environment. Objectives: develop new, innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning; stimulate entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial skills of higher education teaching staff and enterprise staff; facilitate the exchange, flow and co-creation of knowledge. Application: to the Commission by April 3, 2014

Action 2: c) Sector Skills Alliances deals w/ skills gaps, enhances the responsiveness of initial and continuing VET systems to sector-specific labour market needs and demand for new skills with regard to one or more occupational profiles, by means of: modernizing VET and exploiting its potential to drive economic development and innovation, notably at local and regional levels, increasing the competitiveness of the sectors concerned; strengthening the exchange of knowledge and practice between vocational education and training institutions and the labor market integrating work-based learning; facilitating labor mobility, mutual trust and increased recognition of qualifications at European level within the sectors concerned. Application: to the Commission by April 3, 2014.

Action 2: d) Capacity Building in the Field of Youth Transnational cooperation projects on multilateral partnerships between oorganizations active in the field of youth in Programme and Partner Countries. They can also involve organizations from the fields of education and training, as well as from other socio-economic sectors. Objectives: foster cooperation and exchanges in the field of youth between Programme Countries and Partner Countries from different regions of the world; improve the quality and recognition of youth work, non-formal learning and volunteering in Partner Countries and enhance their synergies and complementarities with other education systems, the labour market and society;

Action 2: d) Capacity Building in the Field of Youth Objectives: foster the development, testing and launching of schemes and programmes of non-formal learning mobility at regional level (i.e. within and across regions of the world); promote transnational non-formal learning mobility between Programme and Partner Countries, notably targeting young people with fewer opportunities, with a view to improving participants' level of competences and fostering their active participation in society. Application: to the Commission twice a year by April 3, September 2, 2014.

Action 3: Support for policy reform Targets at the achievement of the goals of Europe 2020 Strategy in education and training Structured dialogues are supported (meetings between young people and decision-makers in the field of youth) Carried out through specific calls by the Commission: - 30 April for projects starting on August October for projects starting on January 1

Action 3: Support for policy reform Objectives: improving the quality, efficiency and the equity of education, training and youth systems developing transnational cooperation and mutual learning between competent authorities developing knowledge through peer learning obtaining comperative international data for European and national policy making supporting civil society networks for policy implementation supporting European networks for transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications

Jean Monnet Activities Aims at promoting excellence in teaching and research in the field of European Union studies worldwide Through specific supported actions: -Modules (courses at higher education) -Chairs (teaching posts for professors and senior lecturers) -Centers of Excellence (synergies between various disciplines, transnational activities) - Support to Institutions (to enhance teaching and training activities at the postgraduate level) - Networks (policy debate with the academic world) - Projects (unilateral projects and policy debate with the academic world) Application by March 26, 2014

Sport Collaborative partnerships Not-for-profit European sport events are supported with the objectives of: -tackling cross-border threats to the integrity of sport such as doping, match fixing -supporting good governance in support -promoting voluntary activities in sport, social inclusion and equall access to sport
