The benefits of increasing muscular strength are unrestricted ability to perform daily activities, ability to cope with emergencies, reduced injuries and disabilities, healthy aging and maintenance of functional independence, and a healthy back. Compared to other males of a similar age range your predicted 1- RM of 120 lbs for bench press places you in the ‘average’ category while your predicted 1-RM of 267 lbs for leg press also places you in the ‘average’ category.
