To raise much needed funds for East Hills Cerebral Palsy Center Explanation of how funds will be raised through a Bar-B- Q Competition Types of food Volunteers Date and time schedule

Cerebral Palsy’s cause is not entirely known. It effects the messages sent between the brain and the muscles. The East Hills Cerebral Palsy Center does much research and cares for its patients. East Hills is in need of funds keep in the operation going. I am suggesting a Bar-B-Q contest.

We can do something to help these children and adults who suffer

 Tickets will be sold in advance and at the door  Entering contestants will pay a fee by one week in advance  Student volunteers will set up tables in designated areas  Judges will be briefed on criteria for judging and the schedule

 There will be four categories  Beef Brisket-10am Sat  Pork Shoulder-Noon Sat  Pork Ribs-10am Sun  Chicken-Noon Sun  Judges will tally and submit results no later than 3pm Sunday  Winners will be announced at 4pm Sunday  Student volunteers will clean up

 Students ambassadors will volunteer, no need to hire anyone  Art class students will make banners and signs  PR department will advertise in the necessary outlets

 Events coordinator will reserve booths, tables, chairs  M & O will move the necessary equipment for us  Campus police will provide the necessary security needed
