Presentation transcript:

Design Needs 1. Early Communication for Design Performance Criteria Work with Industry Reps - Admixture, Cement, Concrete Laboratories, Concrete Producers 2. Mix Design Development Test Trials- Lab or Field 3. Form Work Discussions with Industry Manufacturers 3. Specifications then designed around Concrete and Construction specifics needed 4. Allocation for Multiple Jobsite Mock ups. Especially if Architectural !!!

Field Performance Needs Pre-qualified Testing Laboratory- 12k psi, 14kpsi, 16kpsi and soon to be 20kpsi cannot be handled by just anyone Laboratory Needs plenty of curing room storage Cylinder Grinding Machine Compression Machine able to handle 25,000psi plus Field Sampling unlike you have never seen before Curing Room Sea Container on site Proper Cylinder making handling Self Consolidating Spreads of 30”+

Concrete Needs State of the Art Chemicals- High Range Waters Reducers, Set Controlling, Slump Retaining, Air De- Entraining 90 Minutes Need Not Apply- Prescriptive Concrete is replaced by Performance Concrete Attentive Concrete Pumping- Stronger pumps, Modified Production Seasonal Performance- Concrete will behave differently depending on season
