NC Regions Lauren

Coastal Plain North Carolina

Basic Facts – Coastal Plains 1:Most farmers live in Coastal Plains. 2:Is divided in 2 places: outer and inner coastal plains.

Landforms – Coastal Plain One of the landforms are the Atlantic Ocean, in which is shared with Georgia and Virginia . Other landforms are meadows , which have flowers and bumpy hills. One last landform is a valley with acres of low grounds.

Climate- Coastal Plain The climate is hot most of the year. There is bad hurricanes and thunder storms. During the winter, it is not always cold . It is very cool.

Attractions- Coastal Plain One attraction is the great and interesting animals. Other attractions are the festivals filled with fun. One more attraction is the beaches . People come there every day!

Other Cool Facts- Coastal Plains A cool fact is that the Coastal Plains get over 400,000 visitors each year. Another one is that the Coastal Plains is also a place where people vacation. One more is that the Coastal Plains is the largest region in NC.

Piedmont North Carolina

Basic Facts-Piedmont The Piedmont is also a plateau. Piedmont means “Foot of the Mountain”. Piedmont is related to the Coastal Plains.

Climate in the Piedmont The climate is warm because it is near hot and cold places. The air is mist when its spring [sometimes] The sky is always blue in the summer. Most times , not.

Landforms-Piedmont 2 of the landforms are plateau and fields of soft rocks Another two are the low waterfalls and rapids.

Other Interesting Facts-Piedmont The Piedmont is where Raleigh is located. This region is the second smallest and the second biggest region. The Piedmont gets almost 40,000 visitors.

The Mountain Region North Carolina

Landforms-Mountain Region 1.One landform is of course mountains. 2.Another landform is a valley with low grounds. 3.Lastly , there is a forest to go to a mountain.

Attractions-Mountain Region 1.One attraction is the Rocky Blue mountains. 2.Another attraction is the tree-covered forests 3.One more is the historical buildings.

Climate- Mountain Region The climate is very cold . It lowers to 60 degrees below in winter. Most mountains get snowy because of the location. The mountains are mostly located in the north of a state , so they are much colder.

Basic Facts-Mountain Region The Mountain region is the smallest region. This region isn’t only filled with mountains , but also with valleys. This region seems to be the coldest in all of the 3 regions.

Other Cool Facts-Mountain Region It takes over 5 months to climb Mt. Everest. The mountains get almost 500,000 visitors a year. This region not only used for climbing , but for vacation.

In my opinion… My favorite region is the Piedmont because it is where we live , which is Raleigh . Secondly, it has different weather most days . Lastly , it is the second biggest and second smallest region.
