Coastal Plain Awesome Features The coastal plain extends from the fall zone eastward to the Atlantic Ocean. The coastal plain region is surrounded by a lot of water. It also has a lot of beaches. Jamestown is in the Tidewater region. In the last few years the water rose.

Facts Historical places are Jamestown, Yorktown, Fredricksburg, Mount Vernon, and Norfolk. The rivers are the Potomac, Rappahannock, York, and James.

Awesome Piedmont Features Piedmont is the largest region in Virginia. It is west of the Fall Line. River flow east and they move into the Atlantic Ocean. Piedmont is known for it’s beautiful rolling hills. The Indians that lived there spoke Siouan.

Resources The resources in the Piedmont are tobacco, corn, lumber and farming. The industries are farming, textiles, federal and state government.

Facts Piedmonts historical places are the Appomattox and the Monticello. When Indians lived here they spoke Siouan.
