Geothermal Location By Katie

A Worldwide Source! Geothermal energy is being used all around the world! It is being used and produced on every continent except Antarctica. Geothermal energy is available almost everywhere on earth! Learn more about the location of geothermal energy.

Geothermal “Hot Spots” Geothermal “hot spots” (places around the world that contain or produce lots of geothermal energy) are all over the world! Here are some of the top “hot spots” in the world! 1.The Ring of Fire 2.The United States 3.Iceland You will soon learn more about these geothermal “hot spots”.

The Ring of Fire The Ring of Fire is the #1 producer of geothermal energy in the world. It produces over 60% of the world’s geothermal energy. The Ring of Fire is a ring of volcanoes and tectonic plate borders around the Pacific Ocean.

The United States is the top country that produces geothermal energy. It produces 28.79% of the geothermal energy that the countries produce. The United State’s geothermal energy mainly comes from the western part, from about New Mexico and west. There are also geothermal resources in the east, but not as nearly as much as in the west. The United States

Iceland Iceland is another one of the top geothermal energy producers. Many things in Iceland are powered by geothermal energy. For instance, many greenhouses in Iceland are powered by geothermal energy.

Geothermal Energy is Everywhere! Geothermal resources are everywhere! Soon, geothermal energy will be able to be produced anywhere on earth, thanks to new technology that will make it simple to dig extremely deep into earth and obtain geothermal energy from anywhere!
