Work is set by the class organiser and marked by the tutor, followed by a one hour class to go over any problems. Usually four classes per term. See appropriate class organiser

Tutor has to prepare the tutorial (reading lists, notes), set and mark work – usually has to be an area that you know well. Tutorials are often very wide ranging discussions rather than simply going over answers to problems. Provide direct, specific support. 2.One day seminars and longer courses on teaching organised on a regular basis by the Department. (Information from Dr Harris or Dr Quant). 3.Courses organised by the Institute for the Advancement of University Learning. Primarily for University Staff, but graduates are accepted if courses are not fully booked.
