Corduroy’s Adventure in the Library to Find Numbers Project #15 Mrs. HoltKK-04

194 – One Hundred Ninety-four I like the Library. This number is the room number of the Library. I go to the Library with my class. Mrs. B reads a story to us.

12 – twelve The number on this book tells us it is book number 12. Mrs. Holt is reading us book number 1. It is called Dinosaurs Before Dark. I like it.

100 – One Hundred This book talks about the 100 th day of school. We celebrated the 100 th day of school, too. I like the colors on this book and the animals. I can count to 100 by 10s. I am still practicing counting to 100 by 1s.

11 - eleven The number eleven is on the clock. You look at the clock to see what time it is. I can’t tell time but my mommy can. She looks at the clock to make sure I get to my school on time.

19 - nineteen This number was on the book. My teacher says it is for a test you can take after you read the book. You can get 19 points. It is a book for big kids.

550 – Five Hundred Fifty This number was on the shelf. It tells you what section you are in. It says that all those books are about the same topic.

My Refection I loved taking pictures with Corduroy. It was fun to go to the library and hunt for numbers. There are a lot of numbers in the library so you can find books fast. Numbers help keep you organized.

Statement of Purpose  I CHOSE CCSS STANDARD: CC.K.NBT.1 Work with numbers 11+ to gain foundations for place value. Understand that these numbers are composed of tens and ones. Domain: NBT: Number Operations in Base Ten: Relating numbers to our world.  AND ASKED MY STUDENT(S) TO CREATIVELY DEMONSTRATE THEIR UNDERSTANDING BY creating a PowerPoint or book about their math adventures with Corduroy.  TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTION: What numbers can Corduroy find in our world?
