History? First Isha Vidhya School opened its doors on June 19, 2006 in Sandegounden Palayam (SGP), Coimbatore. In its first year, the school enrolled 263 students from 26 nearby villages Three additional schools in villages near Erode, Nagercoil and Tuticorin were opened in the next academic year. Founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev from Isha Foundation. Overview of Isha Vidhya Isha vidhya provides Extensive library of print, audio, video & computer based learning content. Ratio of computer to student is 5:1 Over 50% of school hours spent on alternative learning methods The student teacher ratio is quite low at 19.4:1, since special attention is given to slow learners. Transportation Van facilities available for students to travel. Highly subsidized nutritious noon-meals are provided 33 Govt. schools have been taken up under the new initiative called government school adoption project.

Asha for Isha? Asha started its support from the year 2007 and has raised $73,620 till now. Asha provides scholarship for 80 students. This scholarship includes tuition fee, notebook and textbooks. Last academic year (2013 to 2014 ) – we dispersed an amount of $14,934. ( Includes infrastructure, Scholarships and government school adoption project for 40 schools)
