Fully Flush Cabinet (Illustrated) Cabinet Options Surface Cabinets Cabinet colour reference is: RAL 7035 textured (Light Grey) All cabinets are manufactured from sheet steel and finished in satin texture epoxy powder stove paint. Semi-Flush Cabinets The semi-flush bezel locates to the rear of the bevelled edge of the back box, leaving the bevelled edge and door raised out from the wall. It is finished in the same colour as the back box and is fitted by means of pinch bolts, thus avoiding the need to drill the cabinet. Fully Flush Cabinet (Illustrated) Custom-made to a high quality, full-flush bezels are available in brass, stainless steel, or painted. This option is achieved by fixing a flat bezel assembly to the standard back box, replacing the standard door. The panel comes with assembly already fitted but may be supplied for later on-site fitting (this may be a little time-consuming). For details of panel dimensions see Application Guide.
User Controls User’s zone identification label. LPCB approval details. The Precept panel has clear, unambiguous LED indications. These single-function user controls are easy to operate. User operating instructions.
Motherboard This is the motherboard for the 2/4 zone Precept panel. Motherboards for the 8 and 16 zone panels are shown in the Application Guide. The fault LEDs, fuses and DIL switch are easily accessible for the engineer when the user display board has been removed. Esc.
Typical Wiring Schematic Apollo S60 detectors are illustrated, but the Precept panel supports a wide variety of other manufacturers’ detectors - details in the Application Guide. This is a typical Precept wiring illustration as it appears in the product documentation. Alarm Circuit terminals Zone terminals Battery Terminals 2 fire and 1 fault c/o relay Repeater panel terminals. One per zone, One each for common fault, remote inputs for silence alarms, reset and evacuate, 24V and 0 V supply Esc. DIL switch for panel configuration
Panel Configuration The engineer’s controls are located on the bottom of the control board. They are in the form of a 4-way DIL switch. Switch 1 Pulsing or continuous alarms Switch 2 Non-latching zone (zone 1) Does not operate fire relays (Disallowed under BS5839 pt 4) Switch 3 One man test facility Switch 4 Operates the processor fault counter in accordance with BS5839 pt 4 (8, 16, 32 zone panels only) or Disable auxiliary fire relay on evacuate (4 zone panel only) Switch 2 & 4 Shop unit specification (4 zone panel only) Esc.
Panel Repeater This is the door-mounted display (viewed from rear) with LED indications and user controls. Additional termination board available for use with up to 2.5mm fire rated cable where the repeater is the primary means of indication. Power supply option available on additional termination board when repeater is not powered from main panel. Terminals for lightweight flexible cable which may be used where the repeater is not the primary means of indication. Space for 2 S.L.A. batteries when power supply option is used. Ribbon cable connection to additional termination board. Esc.
Panel Repeater Display Zonal fire LED indications. Fire alarm system controls (linked to main panel). Numerical access code to enable controls. Esc. Repeater controls.
Panel Enhancements Esc. Outputs to fully functional repeater and/or mimic display if required. 2 alarm circuits as standard. Additional alarm circuits (not zonal) option. Zonal alarm option. 3 wire adaptor. Terminals provided for remote silence alarms, reset & evacuate. Additional psu option. Esc.
C1498 3 Wire Adaptor The 3 wire adaptor is designed to assist in the first stages of upgrading an old 3-wire system, using the Precept panel with existing cabling. The cabling may then be upgraded at a later date to British Standards. Esc.
C1437 4 Way Alarm Extender Board Each of the four circuits is individually fused and has its own fault LED indication. This board provides the facility for adding additional fully-monitored alarm circuits. If this link is removed, power or alarm fault is signaled back to the control panel. Externally monitored power supply from panel auxiliary supply or external psu as necessary. Fully-monitored cable to control panel alarm circuit. Esc.
C1324 6 Way Zonal Alarm Board Esc. Each of the six circuits is individually fused. Common fire inter-link to synchronise pulsed alarms across multiple boards. DIL switch for engineer to set alarm ringing pattern. Manual/timed global evacuate may be added. Fully-monitored cable to control panel alarm circuit. Externally monitored power supply from panel auxiliary supply or external psu as necessary. The C1324 board uses the panel’s repeater outputs to tell it which a zone is in fire. Esc.
