Only in the past fifteen years has the emphasis shifted from applying computer technology to hospital administration, to applying technology to the clinical process. The use of computers in health care began to emerge in the early 1970s. The initial use of computers focused on computerizing the administrative process. Health care automation was quite limited for the first 10 years because of the insufficient file capacities of most systems. The last half of the 1980s and early ’90s was when the industry began to see integrated systems become commonplace. During the mid-1990 was when computers started being integrated into the clinical process. History in Health Care

WW1 X-RAY TUBE First X-ray Machine. Created by Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen in Used during the Great War to find bullets in a person body specifically the head.

Current X-Ray Generator Can take picture of human insides such as bone and foreign objects in abdomen. Can see inside of animals Can see inside of other non-living things such as luggage.

Technology has come a far way in the medical field. First started as simple computers used for patient records. After many years became apart of the clinical process. Technology is now a common practice in the medical field. Always Improving and becoming more advanced. In Review
