Thomas Jefferson: Became the United States minister of France and later became the first U.S Secretary of State. John Adams: He became the second president of the U.S after George Washington.

What Made Them Unique New England: Depended on fishing, whaling and trapping. Middle Colonies: Enjoyed a successful and diverse economy. Farming, logging, ship building, textiles production and paper making were popular in the Middle Colonies. Southern Colonies: Were based on farming, rice, indigo, tobacco, sugarcane and cotton.

Jobs & Tools Some tools used in Colonial Times were hammers, braces and spokeshaves. Three jobs during Colonial times are Weavers, Gardeners, and Milliners.
