Our Challenges  Of 600 recently deployed National Guard Soldiers, 287 were unemployed  While they have skills related to their military occupation – how do they translate?  We know that the civilian workforce requires certified employees

The Governors Initiative  Form a coalition from public and private agencies  Create training opportunities and offer them to the Soldiers in Afghanistan  Get the commitment from GCC to provide the instruction  Get the commitment from AHRD to assist with funding
