How is the grass (turf) for a sports stadium grown?

What conditions are needed for the grass to grow well?

Growing Good Grass What if one of these was missing? Would it cause a problem for the grass? soilwarmthlightwater air

We are going to plant some grass seeds in different conditions. We want to find out how different conditions affect how well grass grows.

Measure the tallest blade of grass every 3 days. Measure 10 blades of grass and chose the ‘common’ height. What will we observe or measure? How often? Measure the tallest and the shortest blades of grass – add them up and divide by 2.

Can you predict what will happen to the seeds in your tray? Why do you think this will happen?
