“38: And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth. 39: And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils” (Mark 1).
“1: The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God” (Mark 1). The gospel belongs to Jesus in that it came from him and is inseparably connected to and with him, it is the message of hope revolving around Jesus as the Son of God.
The place to learn of the gospel is in the gospel itself. There are many conceptual presentations presented relative to the gospel and its practical application, functionality, and design.
Believe the gospel (Mark 1: 15). “15: And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1, cp. Acts 27: 25).
Serve in the gospel (Rom. 1: 9). “9: For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son…” (Rom. 1).
Not ashamed of the gospel (Rom. 1: 16). “16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ…” (Rom. 1: 16, cp. Mark 8: 38).
Preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16: 15). “15: And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.16: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16).
The gospel of the Kingdom (Matt. 4: 23). “23: And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom…” (Matt. 4).
Obey the gospel (Rom. 10: 16). “16: But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?” (Rom. 10).
Fully preach the gospel of Christ (Rom. 15: 19). “19: Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ” (Rom. 15: 19).
Gospel hidden (2 Cor. 4: 3). “3: But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost” (2 Cor. 4: 3).
Gospel is God’s power (Rom. 1: 16). “16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Rom. 1: 16).
Another gospel (Gal. 1: 6). “6: I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel” (Gal. 1: 6).
Pervert the gospel (Gal. 1: 7). “7: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ” (Gal. 1: 7).
Defence of the gospel (Phili. 1: 17). “17: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel” (Phili. 1: 17).
The faith of the gospel (Phili. 1: 27). “27: …that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel” (Phili. 1: 27).
Called by the gospel (2 Thes. 2: 14). “14: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Thes. 2).
Partaker of the afflictions of the gospel (2 Tim. 1: 8). “8: Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God” (2 Tim. 1: 8).
The truth of the gospel (Gal. 2: 5). “5: To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you” (Gal. 2: 5).
“6: And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people” (Rev. 14, cp. John 12: 48).
“1: Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2: By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain” (I Cor. 15).
