Information on PS3 PS3 is the third home video game console produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. After PS1 and PS2 was created, Sony computer entertainment decided to create even better game system that had better gaming program and better features. It was first released on November 11,2006, in Japan, and soon it was released in North America on November 17, 2006.

System Unit The PlayStation 3 is convex on its left side, with the PlayStation logo upright, when vertical and has a glossy black finish. The PlayStation 3 features a slot-loading 2x speed Blu-ray Disc drive for games, Blu-ray movies, DVDs, CDs and other optical media. It was originally available with hard drives of 20 and 60 GB. PS3 became very popular since it could play both PS1 and PS2 games on it.

Types of PS3 Version There are about 6 versions of PS3. All of these versions of PS3 have different amount of memory in them.
