19 th September What Is Lockout Tagout “Lockout Tagout is an important security procedure that involves shutting off the power to industrial machines or equipment during maintenance or repair” Lockout Tagout procedures prevent the accidental activation of equipment and minimizes the electrical and mechanical hazards faced by industrial workers. FACT: Unprotected workers are killed or injured due to workplace accidents.
