Equitable Participation: Private Schools  Districts need to contact the private schools within its boundaries at least twice:  Needs to be documented (letter, , etc.)  At least one attempt should be made via certified mail  Include a response date for the private school

Districts must consult with private schools within district boundaries  Schedule a meeting to discuss the use of Title IIA funds  The private school’s PD needs should be discussed – private schools can only use TIIA funds for PD  Provide the private school with an estimate of their allocation  Districts may invite private schools to district PD (but may not limit equitable participation to this)

Funding Professional Development for Private Schools  Districts remain in control of funds  District pays for private school consultants directly  District reimburses individual private school educators for conference registration, etc.  Funds for private school activities/conferences must be pre-approved  No Title IIA funds are to be paid to the private school
