Cheat Sheet for Design Layout When designing a page you want to use the Elements and Principles of art. Helpful Hints: 1.Avoid over crowding the page 2.Focal point with one larger image 3.Visual movement so your eye travels to each image (no image is isolated or floating) 4.No trapped text (keep the text on the outside of the page) 5.At lease one design element to make the page visually interesting. 6.Repeat the same colors throughout the page. (repeat one main color at least 3 times) 7.Include 3 different types of font 8.Change the size of the font in 3 places. Title (large 15-20) Story (Medium 12-13) Labeling (small 9-11)- text under images
