How did we work? Competition for a logo of the project We started with organizing a competition for a logo in our school. We have chosen the best projects for our visit in Austria in February 2014.

Preparing the culinary workshops for the visit in Poland The students involved in the project were preparing the recipes for healthy dishes which were cooked in the international groups. The recipes were later used for creating an international cookery book.

Presentation about the Polish cuisine Our students also prepared a power point presentation in which they presented the most popular dishes in their country together with the description of the nutrients included in them.

Creating a tree of good advice Before our guests arrived we had created a tree with advice concerning healthy lifestyle.

A competition for a culinary photography We have organized a school competition for a culinary photography. All the students could take a photo of a healthy dish with a short description.

A four week analysis of the school shop Before our visit to Italy our students had been analysing the school shop with regard to the products which were bought by the students. Our aim was to estimate what the students eat, if it is healthy or not, check the ingredient lists and ask the students what they would like to find in the school shop. We have also read the laws created by the government concerning the food that is forbidden and recommended in schools.

Other tasks fulfilled during the first year of the project Fruit Day – in order to promote the healthy lifestyle we have encouraged our students to eat fruit at least once a week and on Wednesdays we have all eaten fruit for lunch

Prophylactic action – Stop addictions! Our school has organized an action which aim was to inform the young people about dangers connected with taking drugs, smoking cigarettes and other unhealthy addictions that have a bad influence on our health.

Zumba workshops The students taking part in the project participated in the zumba workshops which were organized by our school

Participating in the school fete,,Time for health” On the third of June 2014 our school has organized an event in order to promote healthy lifestyle, sport and eco food. Our students participated in various sports cometitions, they could taste regional food, and consult their diet.

Surveys about eating habits Before our visit to Austria in September 2014 our students had to analyse the eating habits among teenagers of our school. We have been asking the students to fill in the questionnaires and then prepared a presentation of the results. Question 7 HOW OFTEN DO YOU EAT FRUITS AND VEGETABLES? A. once a day B. three times a day C. five times a day and often D. I do not eat fruits and vegetables

Analyzing the tv commercials For the visit in Germany in December 2014 we had to prepare the presenatation about the food commercials. We have watched lots of them and choosen the commercial of Guseppe pizza, Frugo fizzy drink and Kinder Bueno chocolate bar.

Research into herbs We were supposed to conduct research on herbs in order to find out what their indications are for the visit in Italy. To do that we read lots of books and asked our grandparents about it.

Gardens as a place for relaxation and food production We have also prepared a presentation about the most beautiful gardens in Poland.

Besides, our students took part in the art competition for the design of a garden.

Other tasks fulfilled during the second year of the Comenius project The project was fulfilled on the lessons in: BIOLOGY CHEMISTRY ENGLISH PHYSICAL EDUCATION

A competition for a sports photography We have also organized a competition for the best sports photography.

Other products International cookery book Together with other countries we have created a cookery book which contains the traditional dishes from all the countries participating in the project. Guide to food additives The guide was created in order to inform the students about the additives. It contains a code breaker for,,E – numbers”.
