Projects by M.Sc.(Physics)students during IV Semester  Dynamical behaviour of q-deformed Gaussian map  Pseudo random bit generator based on one dimensional chaotic logistic map  Compton profile study of Li, Be and their alloys  Structural information from EXAFS technique  Study of isotropic environment of Pr cation in a  BSCCO(2212) superconductor  Electrical and optical properties of Chalcogenides  Physics of projectile motion using MATLAB  Development of communication tool bar using MATLAB  Design of instrumentation amplifier using transducers

Future plans of the group  Initiate M.Sc. (Nanoscience and Technology)  Establish a group for the theoretical research in nonlinear dynamics to “develop new designs of secure cryptosystems (specifically block ciphers) by exploiting the interesting properties of chaotic dynamical systems (sensitivity to initial condition and system parameter, unpredictability of evolution of its orbits, ergodicity and mixing (stretching & folding) properties etc.) along with complete implementation details and rigorous analysis against well-established criteria of security & reliability”  Plan to start theoretical work based on “density functional theory (DFT), Hartee- Fock LCAO, local and non- local pseudo potential calculations to determine the electronic structure, nature of bonding, Fermi surface topology, energy band gap information etc. of shape memory alloys (Alloys of Ni, Mn and Ga), Cd-Hg alloys and various semiconductor compounds”
