Job Satisfaction Job Satisfaction describes how content an individual is with his /her job.

Discussion Question What kind of emotion is this person displaying? Why do you believe this individual is displaying this kind of emotion?

Factors Affecting Job Satisfaction 1.Situational Factors: The various situations that an individual encounters in the work place. 2.Personal Characteristics of the worker: refers to the skills and abilities that an individual possesses and how they are applied to the job. 3.Physical conditions: physical appearance of the workplace as well as the facilities that are available to workers.

What is Stress Some stress can be happy, exciting and challenging. We need stress in our lives; without it life would be dull. For example, right before a race, Mark always feels a little nervous. This stress helps Mark stay alert and prepared. When stress becomes too frustrating and lasts for long periods, it can become harmful. E.g. Frequent headaches, angry outburst and feeling sad.
