The Fruit of the Resurrection Romans 6:5-11

“Where sin increased, grace increased all the more!” Romans 5:20

“What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

“ 5 If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin- 7 because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.

8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. 11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.”

“Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Jesus represented us. Jesus represented us. Romans 6:5 “If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.”

Jesus represented us. Jesus represented us. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade” 1 Peter 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade” 1 Peter 1:3-4

Jesus represented us. Jesus represented us. His resurrection conquered sin and death. His resurrection conquered sin and death. 2 Corinthians 5:21 “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

Jesus represented us. Jesus represented us. His resurrection conquered sin and death. His resurrection conquered sin and death. We need to accept the victory. We need to accept the victory. “Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.” Romans 6:8

If you are in Christ, you are eternally alive. If you are in Christ, you are eternally alive. “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21

If you are in Christ, you are eternally alive. If you are in Christ, you are eternally alive. We can live victoriously. We can live victoriously.

If you are in Christ, you are eternally alive. If you are in Christ, you are eternally alive. We can live victoriously. We can live victoriously. We bear resurrection fruit. We bear resurrection fruit.

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 John 11:25-26
