What is an Alternative High School? Alternative High School- A noun, describing a public or private high school using an alternative curriculum (different from a states standard way of presenting learning).

What are the differences between Alternative and standard schools? Alternative schools take the ideas that standard high schools operate and question them. Building a separate curriculum and style of evaluation these schools can either be very successful or completely fail depending on how the education system develops. Standard schools often display a set schedule while many Alternative schools try a different aspect of time management. Some are more similar to college.

What difference does Technology make in learning? - With the advancements of technology including the internet and computers, their seems to be all these new opportunities to learn a different way… So why limit this so severely?

How to know if an Alternative High School is right for you? The Standard System works for about 74.9% of Students in America as of But what about the other 25.1% of students? Alternative High Schools target the students who do not progress well in standard high school environments. Adding more or less flexibility and assistance. If the way of learning that is being taught doesn’t fit with the way you learn then an alternative school may be a better route.
