Our University School Chaperones Dr. Stephen Marten: Dr. Marten is in his 12 th year with University School. He has taught AP Geography and World History, served as Social Studies department chair in the Middle School; and as an administrator in the Upper and Middle schools. Dr. Marten has been in education for 20 years. He has taught in London, UK, Auckland, New Zealand and the University School. He has travelled extensively in Europe, the Americas, Australia and Asia, including China. Ms. Hong Jia: Ms.Jia is a native Chinese and was born in Beijing. She received her bachelor degree in China and Masters degree in USA. She has been working at University School for nine years and has been teaching 6-8 th grade Chinese for 6 years. Ms. Ying Li Harwood: Ms. Harwood has been with University School for two years teaching 9-12 grade students Chinese. She is a native Chinese, born and educated in Shanghai, China and has been in the US for more than 20 years. With a background in English Study and Hotel Management, she was one of the 1st generation college educated interpreters for Westerner and foreign delegations travel to China.

Paying for your trip $ 4149 for adult Applicant Procedures: Total Cost is $4, Applicants must submit a $350 non-refundable deposit (payable by cash, check made out to University School or credit card), which will be applied toward the total cost of the program. Applications & deposit fees are due no later than January 31, Payment can be sent or brought to Bryon Rostanzo or Lara Bezianis in the Office of Summer and Extended Programs. (Lower School Building) Once you are registered, you will receive confirmation of your reservation and periodic trip updates from University School’s Summer and Extended Programs Office. 50% of the balance is due no later than February 18, 2014 and the outstanding balance is due in full no later than April 1, 2014 Program Cancellation Policy 109 to 30 days prior to departure, full refund less $350 administrative fee and 50% of the program price. 29 days or less prior to departure, no refund will be issued.
