Anne graduated from The University of Western Australia, with a Bachelor of Commerce, in 2004…. …and promptly became an auditor. GRADUATION

A small part of her job was training other staff… AUDIT

…but it turned out that training people was something Anne enjoyed very much. ENJOYMENT

Anne decided to pursue a career in teaching. She graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Graduate Diploma of Education in CHANGE

Audit Skills Teaching Skills Anne found that many of the skills she had developed as an auditor were useful in her role as a teacher DISCOVERY Confidence to deal with different people from different backgrounds Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time Ability to problem solve in collaboration with others

Since becoming a teacher, Anne has developed many other skills, including the ability to; Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with a given curriculum, Differentiate programs and assessments to meet student needs, Mark work and give students appropriate feedback on their performance Review curriculum programs, in consultation with others, and make improvements for the future, Provide extra learning support to students through after-school tutoring, and; Engage in reflective practices to ensure excellence in her teaching. DEVELOPMENT

In her short career Anne has made some significant achievements. Two of her favourites are; Building a rapport with an extremely disengaged year 9 student and helping him return to his studies, and; Altering her teaching style to better suit her students needs through the use of hands on learning activities, visual aids and the use of manipulatives.
