Polish BARSZCZ CARP Pierogi

Polish ZRAZY – it’s made of beef, rice, cucumbers and some bacon. It is mostly served during Xmas but also during some traditional Polish events. Polish BIGOS. This dish is made of cabbage, diferent types of sausages, mashrooms, seasons. It is also very famous in Lithuania or Belarus.

Typical Polish PIERNICZKI always decorated with icing and colourful chocolate MAKOWIEC It’s a Polish cake which is made of poppy. Some housewives add some raisins or apricots.

CHEESE CAKE APPLE PIE

OPŁATEK – we share it among each other while wishing all the best to our relaties and friends. It’s a must on the Xmas table. There should be 12 dishes on the table. There is a superstition that if you do not try all of them you will not be lucky in the coming year. There is always one spear place at the table for someone who may lose his way druring the evening. It is said that if a person comes you should let them in and share what you have on the table. We start the Xmas supper when the 1st star is spotted.
