What’s in a domain name? Is anyone in control of the Internet?

 The URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is the address of a resource, in this case, an Internet Web page. It is a set of instructions telling your browser not only how to accept the incoming data, but where to go to get it. Host name Type of resource Domain

How can I get a domain name? Some domain names can be purchased easily and inexpensively: Go to and type in the question, “ how do I buy an internet address?”

Results  Which domain names are easy to purchase?  What is the cheapest price you found?  Can you fool someone into believing you are an expert?

Why should I believe you? Evaluating information from Web sites. Authority and Accuracy - Who is the author(s); is the author an authority on the topic; is the information correct? Is the information from a trusted source? Can you verify information using an additional, trusted source? (other publications, known organizations or verification by a trusted person) Is there a verifiable “about” section? Who owns the domain name?
