Video Format 24-P Standard Widescreen 24p refers to a video format that operates at 24 frames per second (or typically, 23.976frame/s when using equipment based around NTSC frame rates) frame rate with progressive scanning (not interlaced). Originally, 24p was used in the non-linear editing of film-originated material. Today, 24p formats are being increasingly used for aesthetic reasons in image acquisition, delivering film-like motion characteristics. Some vendors advertise 24p products as a cheaper alternative to film acquisition. Video Format NTSC Standard Widescreen NTSC (National Television System Committee) is the analog television system that was used in most of the Americas, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Burma, and some Pacific island nations and territories (see map). NTSC is also the name of the U.S. standardization body that adopted the NTSC broadcast standard. The first black-and-white NTSC standard for broadcast was developed in 1941 and had no provision for color transmissions Standard Widescreen Standard NTSC video (4:3 interlaced). Video Format PAL Standard Widescreen PAL, short for Phase Alternating Line, is an analogue television encoding system used in broadcast television systems in large parts of the world. Standard Widescreen (4:3 interlaced) Video Settings Frame size: 720h 576v (1.067) Frame rate: 25.00 frames/second Pixel Aspect Ratio: D1/DV PAL (1.067) Fields: Lower Field First (16:9 interlaced) Video Settings Frame size: 720h 576v (1.422) Frame rate: 25.00 frames/second Pixel Aspect Ratio: D1/DV PAL Widescreen 16:9 (1.422) Fields: Lower Field First

Video Format SECAM SÉCAM (Séquentiel couleur avec mémoire, French for "Sequential Color with Memory"), is an analog color television system first used in France. A team led by Henri de France working at Compagnie Française de Télévision (later bought by Thomson) invented SECAM

Video Format HDV HDV is a format for recording and playback of high-definition video. The format was originally developed by JVC and supported by Sony, Canon and Sharp Two major versions of HDV are HDV 720p and HDV 1080i. The former is used by JVC and is informally known as HDV1. The latter is preferred by Sony and Canon and is sometimes referred to as HDV2
