Never assume your students know what you mean, ask first, “Who knows what… is?” etc.  Have as many demonstrations/points as you need.

Practice with a clock.  Keep explanations /demonstrations short, simple and geared toward the level of the students you’re teaching  Use visual aids – even for mounted lessons  Involve the students with discussion, questions, as volunteers for demonstrations  Be Professional – avoid filler terms, dress for success, stay on schedule
