Principle 10 Diversity and Inclusion

January, 2009 A model Division II athletics program shall be committed to the principle of diversity and inclusion. The athletics department shall promote an atmosphere of respect for and sensitivity to the dignity of every person. The department shall also value the opinions of all, initiate a leadership role on campus in this area, and, through diverse hiring pools, strive for gender and ethnic diversity in the institution’s administrative and coaching positions. (Service, Resourcefulness) 10
