Techniques continued Salt – applying salt to a wash in order to get texture Saran wrap – place saran wrap over a wash to create texture Masking Fluid – rubbery solution applied to paper with a brush/rubber tool. Objectives Show clean presentation of intentional marks with watercolor techniques. Demonstrate wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and dry-on-dry techniques to create a full range of values. Accurately represent color as seen in your visual. Accurately create the illusion of water reflection through your choice of a water image. Demonstrate textural techniques that may incorporate blooming, salt, saran wrap or other techniques. Create a unique composition (may expand from photo or crop it differently, etc.)
