Fuel Efficient Cars By: Lewis Ricci Calvin Jacobs

Introduction –Cars are a big part in going green –People use cars every day without knowing what they are doing to the environment thankfully car manufactures are doing something about this.

Electric car use lithium ion batteries to power an electric motor enables cars to run a long time without refueling can run on 1 charge for 40 hrs charged externally

Hybrid uses gas to power generator for electric motor uses a lot less gas than conventional motor engine only runs when moving off at idol even have hybrid SUVs (Escalade, Element)

Flex fuel E 83 ethanol or gas ethanol distilled form corn better for environment than gas (cleaner burning) Making high performance flex fuel cars (Corvette)

Smart Cars use only water-soluble paint in three colors black, white, and red body panels are fully recyclable Classified as Ultra-Low Emissions An electric pump blows fresh air into the exhaust port when the engine is cold to almost completely oxidize the carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) and render them harmless

Conclusion –Benefits of these types of cars make it easier to go green –If you want to help go green this is a good start
