Introduction I am Ms Janet Sangopa, 38yrs old from SHP in PNG. I am a single mother with 1 child & the Provincial Hospital as a Registry Clerk for STI/HIV &AIDS Nina clinic – Provincial ART Centre & also a Positive Advocator. I was diagnosed HIV Positive on the 31 st January 2006 at the Epeanda HIV Clinic & now am currently living on ART for 8 yrs.

No Doctor, I was seen by two nursing officers at the clinic. I first saw Dr Arun in 2008: – Happy that someone would come to help us from another country – Continuum of care was good and when Dr Arun came, I had more confidence that the staff at the clinic knew what to do about ART. – It has been eye opening to see other doctors come and learn at the clinic – I am proud that they would come to learn from us - we learnt from each other

Now Helped establish the Southern Highlands Provincial PLHIV Network – 300 Plus fully registered members of the network Vice President of Igat Hope since 2013 Work as a Registration Clerk at the Mendi Provincial Hospital – Nina Clinic Health and Happy 9month old boy - McFardren

challenges No Doctor at the clinic we rely on nurses and community health workers Shortage of ART Drugs occasionally Peer Educators not trained in all fields of HIV in clinical settings
