Today’s Take Away Jesus’ directive: Abide in his love What does it mean to love one another We get to choose whether we love or hate

Jesus’ Directive to Love It wasn’t a suggestion. It was a commandment. Jesus as “Lord and Savior” Love includes sacrifice. –Time and commitment

To Abide is To Endure Love does not yield to hate Self-evaluation (Prayer) –Am I being kind to people in general? –Am I “doing unto others as I would have them do unto me”. –Am I treating myself well? –Am I really doing my best to abide in Jesus?

What does it mean to “love one another?” It is silence when your words would hurt. It is patience when your neighbor is curt. It is deafness when a scandal flows. It is thoughtfulness for other's woes. It is promptness when stern duty calls. It is courage when misfortune falls. Author Unknown
