Bar Graphs A bar graph uses vertical or horizontal bars to display numerical information. Bar graphs can be used to compare amounts. Choose an appropriate scale (with regular intervals). The bars should have the same width.

Histograms – compare continuous data in intervals A histogram is a bar graph in which the bars represent equally spaced intervals of numbers (you must decide on your equal intervals).
