Barometer  A Barometer is an instrument that measures the air pressure. When the barometer reads high that means the skies are fair. When the barometer reads that it’s falling that means that a change of weather is coming. The units they measure by is millibars and inches.

Thermometer  A thermometer is an instrument that measure the temperature of the air. There is the red line at the middle that goes up if it gets hot, it gets down if it gets colder. There are two different sides on a thermometer. That are fahrenheit and celsius..

Anemometer  An anemometer is an instrument that measures wind speed. Three little cups spin cause of the speed of the wind and it tells you the speed of the wind.

Hygrometer  This instrument measures how much humidity is in the air. When there is a lot of humidity in the air that mean a cold front is going to happen soon cause the sun got most of the water from the last cold front.

Rain gauge  A rain gauge is an instrument that measures how much rain has fallen. When it rains at gets filled up with water and when it stops you can go outside and see.

Weather vane  This instrument is to show what direction the wind is coming from. If it points north that means a south wind is coming.

Nephoscope  A nephoscope is an instruments that measures the alidude, direction, and velocity. The nephoscope is used as a grid to measures the clouds.
