What is a Resume? One page document that summarizes your education, skills, experiences, and accomplishments. Brag Sheet: First Impression An effective resume demonstrates why you are qualified for the position you are applying for.

Why you should start a resume now? Get a head start! Get involved! Colleges and employers love this!

What is a good format for a resume? A resume should be clear, polished, and concise. You do not want to get overly creative with the format of your resume and clutter it.

1. Contact Information Name – larger font size (brand yourself) Address, phone number, and a professional address No personal information (height, weight, etc) unless you are applying for a dance, acting, or athletic position Tips: Create a professional address Create a professional voice mail
