: Dress Code for Girls Skirts: All girls must wear khaki, navy blue, or black skirts or jumpers that come to the middle of the knee in length. K5 may wear skorts as well. If a skirt has a slit in the hem, the slit must not extend higher than the required dress length. Girls are asked to wear shorts under their skirts when playing outdoors. Loose fitting pants (khaki, navy, or black) are permitted on Fridays. Other activities may allow such attire. Tight fitting pants are not allowed, and discretion is left to the administration. Skirts/dresses must reach the middle of the knee or lower. No exceptions! We understand that girls in kindergarten through third grade grow quickly. However, clothes that are newly purchased with the intent of being short (such as miniskirts) will not be allowed.

Girls Shirts: Polo shirts with school logo may be purchased through the office. The colors are white, red, black, and navy. They are to be worn with the Friday attire as well. No spaghetti straps are allowed, as well as any open- back shirts.

Girls Shoes: Sandals with back straps, dress shoes, sneakers/tennis shoes, or boots. No flip-flop shoes are allowed. Socks: Girls may wear solid color (white, red, black) ankle or knee socks. They may wear tights or ankle length leggings. No mid-calf leggings. Only specified solid school colors are allowed. Girls in junior and senior high may wear panty hose with dress shoes.

Dress Code Boys Pants: Khaki, navy blue or black pants with belt loops (No belt loops are fine for K5) Boys in 1 st through high school must wear a belt. No cargo pants. Boys may wear blue jeans on Fridays. No tight or baggy jeans are acceptable, and discretion is left to the administration. Shirts: Polo shirts with school logo may be purchased through the office. The colors are white, red, black, and navy. Boys are required to button their shirts and wear them neatly tucked inside their pants. Shirt and tie are required on specified days: Jr/Sr High - Tuesday Elementary – Wednesday - Regular school uniform (no tie required)

Boys Shoes: Shoes and socks are required. Dress shoes or sneakers/tennis shoes are required. Sandals and flip-flops are not acceptable. Hair: Boys' hair styles are to be cut off above the eyebrows, ears, and collar. It is not acceptable to have the hair tucked behind the ear. We do not allow bowl-cuts, surfer cuts, “corn-rows,” “afros,” or rattails. It is expected that parents and students regard and respect the hair code. It is the parents' responsibility to keep their child's hair cut to its proper length. Necklaces and earrings are not acceptable. The administration reserves the right to disallow any hairstyle or dress that it deems as nontraditional and inappropriate in the church/school setting. Students coming to school improperly dressed will be sent to the office or home immediately.

Tardies Each student is allowed four (4) tardies per nine-week period. The fifth (5 th ) tardy will result in an unexcused absence and a fine of $ Students will be considered absent if they arrive after 10:15 a.m. or leave before 12:00 p.m.

Absences Students may be retained in their current grade if they miss more than 25 days of a school semester Teachers need to notify parents when approaching 15 days absence. Excused absences: Death in the immediate family Sickness Doctor or Dentist Appointment Family Days (4 allowed) Not on days with important tests or events.

Homework Planners will be sent home daily to keep parents informed about assignments. Planner must be signed by a parent signifying that the student did his/her homework. Planners not signed for 2 consecutive days = 1 demerit (Jr/Sr High only.) Note to parents for elementary and star loss for repeated offenses.

Tutoring Teachers will tutor students that have a “C” average in the first semester. One or two days a week is sufficient for tutoring. Anymore than that will cause burnout. Start tutoring after 3 weeks of school. If a student is not paying attention in class, the teacher is not required to give that student any tutoring.

Before/After Care Program Before school care will be provided beginning at 7:30 a.m. There is no charge for this service. Children should not be left on campus before doors are opened at 7:30 a.m. After school care will be provided until 6:00 p.m. There will be a charge of $5.00 per hour beginning at 3:15 p.m.

Packets Packets are sent home on Wednesdays and include student’s work from the previous week. Packets are to be returned by Friday with a parent’s signature. If not, they will not receive another packet until it is returned, signed. Repeated offenders in Jr/Sr High = 1 demerit for each day it is late.

Summer School Summer School is required if a child fails two (2) or more subjects. Summer School is also required for a child who fails any one of the following: Reading Phonics/English Numbers/Arithmetic

Discipline for Kindergarten The Cube System is used for Kindergarten only. Students are rewarded with linking cubes for model behavior. These may be used to buy and prizes. Students will pay with cubes for misbehavior.
