3. Data Collection & Analysis Data from ○ Column articles, News (Many on the Internet) △ Academic Journals → Music industry is very changeable (in recent years,especially).

4. Research Findings Ⅰ. Music industry in Japan has weakened. ↘ → Some companies do something to survive. Ⅱ. Music industry don’t need many new graduates.

4. Research Findings Then, Work situation of Music industry? → Very difficult than before The needs of new graduates is very small. Companies is difficult to glow greatly. There are some special skills and preference.

4. Research Findings 2 Types of the jobs in music industry Ⅰ. Need special knowledge and skills Ex. P.A., Lighting staff, Recording Engineer → Go to special school, work on the place Ⅱ. Not Need special knowledge and skills Ex. Management, advertising, and office work → Graduating from college

Research Findings Example : Sony Music Group 2015 Age: younger than 27 years old Study: Graduated from college and special school Needed license: None Work hours: 8 hours (But, there is usually overtime work actually) Salary: 3,600 thousand yen (starting, graduated from college) But, Normal Students can’t get a job.

5. Individual Concerns for Research Findings How to get a job in music industry? Special / Original Skill and license (helps working) Experience in music jobs → Having strong advantage is important → Making good use of studying in college

6. English and Career Not clear how much needed English skill (TOEIC score etc.). ↕ But there are some situation to need English skill Communicate with foreign companies and musicians Help to extend musician’s sphere of activity

7. Conclusion Music industry is in difficult situation. → Companies take new actions to survive the industry. Labor environment in there is not well. → Some strong advantage is needed to get an employment. = Making plan―What I should do in college―is important.
