ONLINE FIRE SAFETY & DISPLAY SCREEN EQUIPMENT TRAINING NHS HEALTH SCOTLAND Online Fire Safety and display Screen Equipment training. The success of this is seen in NHS Health Scotland’s 95% positive response to the national survey question on Health and Safety Training. This positive response was the highest positive response rate of any board. Kenny McLean, Health and Safety Adviser

FIRE TRAINING For 2013/14 NHS Health Scotland has continued to use the online e learning system LearnPro in order to provide Fire Training for staff. The online training course consists of 3 modules that have been set up for general office environments. Each module has an assessment and staff must ensure that they receive a pass mark of 80% or over in order to pass the module. Staff must complete fire training once every 12 months.

WORKSTATION TRAINING NHS Health Scotland has continued to use the online workstation training and risk assessment package supplied by the British Safety Council for all DSE training and risk assessments. Staff are asked to complete the training and assessment annually or if their working circumstances change. Staff can also complete the training and risk assessments as many times as they want. Each report and risk assessment automatically goes to the individual’s line manager who is responsible for managing any issues in conjunction with the relevant department e.g. IT, Human Resources, Estates and Facilities, Health and Safety.
