1. Introduction 1.1 일반적인 사항 Thank you for purchasing DigiNet System 1.1 일반적인 사항 Thank you for purchasing DigiNet System This manual is intended to work as a guide for installation and operation of all DigiNet System series (DigiNet-3408,3416,44xx) at both Site and Center. This manual tells you how to install, connect, set-up and begin DigiNet Systems with your Windows. It also provides detailed information on various components and technical functions as well. This manual is for users who are not familiar with the DigiNet Systems, but also for those who have experience with other digital video recorders of a similar type. Therefore make sure to read this step-by-step instructions thoroughly whether you are beginner with the digital video recorder or not. After purchasing of DigiNet, if you are in need of opening the case for function addition, modification, contact your dealer for assistance. Also, when you have any further questions which can not be solved by yourselves by following this manual, consult with your dealer.

1.2 Precautions When you select a place for your DigiNet System seating, avoid the following locations q   Location with excessive heat, such as direct lay of light or heating appliances q   Location with excessive moisture, dust and smoke q   Location with magnetic field or electric wave equipment close by q Location exposed to excessive cold or hot temperature (Operating Temp : 5 °C ~ 35 °C) q   Location with unstable or unleveled surface Before you install this system consider the following precautions . q   Be sure to switch the power on as the last step after all of the necessary connections are completely finished. q   Make sure that you have sufficient space around the system for cable connection. q   Place the system on a level, stable and cool surface. q   If you place the system near any wireless electronic machines that can generate a strong magnetic field such as wireless TV, radio or base units of cordless telephones, they may damage to the System. q  Keep the system clean. Dust or any foreign objects accumulated through the speaker openings can cause problems. Do not try to dismantle the system by yourself. Contact dealers for such servicing.

2.My Computer 2.1 Disk Cleanup Open My Computer by double-clicking the icon. Click right button of mouse on DigiNet (C:) icon and then go to Properties. 2 3 Click Disk Cleanup.

☞ Must be set above all drives 4 [Disk Cleanup] -> [Files to delete] Select files to be deleted. 5 [Setting] Click . 6 If you click Settings, a dialogue “ If this drive runs low space, automatically run disk cleanup” appears. Keep this check box  unchecked, Now click OK. If you click OK, a dialogue box with “Are you sure you want to delete files?” appears. Click Yes and OK to exit . ☞ Must be set above all drives

2.2 Scan Disk 1 2 3 4 ! Open My Computer and point [C:]. If you click the right button on [C:], you can pick up Properties. Click Properties and then click Tools. 2 Select Error-checking status and click Click now . 3 In Scandisk, Click Advanced. 4 In Scandisk Advanced Options window, select options below and Click OK . Option Choice (recommended) [Display Summary] ⊙Never [Log file] ⊙No Log [Cross Linked Files] ⊙Delete [Lost File Fragments] ⊙Free ! NOTE: It is recommended for you to perform scandisk when you change any of Scandisk Advanced options. If not, preset options are still valid .

3. Control Panel 3.1 Display 3.1.1 Display Screen Set-up-Screen Saver Click My Computer, and Control Panel. 2 Double-click Display icon. 3 Click Screen Saver. 4 Select None and click Settings. ! Caution: For Continuous display of DigiNet System, no Screen Saver should be active on your monitor.

3.1.2 Display Screen Set-up Color & Resolution In Display Properties window, select Settings . 2 Set the colour and pixels size as below and click Advanced . ! NOTE: Screen colour of 32bit and screen pixels of 1024X768 support DigiNet System Display . 3 Select Small Fonts and ⊙Ask me before applying the new colour settings and click OK to save and exit .

3.2 Power Management 1 2 ‘Never’ in Turn Off Monitor, Double-Click My Computer -> Control Panel-> Power management 2 Select ‘Always On’ in Power Schemes, ‘Never’ in System Standby, ‘Never’ in Turn Off Monitor, ‘Never’ in Turn off Hard Disks and click OK

4. Windows Explorer 4.1 Folder Setup 1 2 3 4 ! Double click Windows Explorer icon . 2 Click View and Folders Option . 3 Select View and click . 4 Click Show all files and OK . ! NOTE: If you do not select Show all files, some of files can be missing when you make copy.

5. Recycle Bin ! In Windows 98, when you delete files, those files go to the Recycle Bin to store automatically. But automatic saving in Recycle Bin is not recommended in DigiNet System. Therefore, you are requested to execute set-up procedure to delete data files immediately without storing to Recycle Bin. 1 Click Recycle Bin icon and click Properties again . 2 Select Use one setting for all drives and check  Do not move files to the Recycle Bin and click OK . Must be uncheck ! Caution: Be sure to mind that after this setting the deleted files are erased without leaving any copy in the Recycle Bin in DigiNet System .

6. COM Port Setup 1 Double Click My computer-> Control Panel -> System . 2 Click Device Manager . 3 Double Click COM & LPT and Click OK . ! Need to reinstall if the communication port is not setup either the communication port is setup and control card is working at mean time.

Click Start and click on Run . 7. Config.sys Autoexec.bat 1 Click Start and click on Run . 2 Type “sysedit” and click OK. 3 Find out C:CONFIG.SYS file and press Enter . DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS DOS=HIGH,UMB FILES=50 BUFFERS=50 LASTDRIVE=Z 4 Click AUTOEXEC.BAT @ECHO OFF LH C:\WINDOWS\SMARTDRV.EXE A+ B- C+ D+ E+ F+ G+ /L ! NOTE: Above setting is for DigiNet System which has drive for data up to “O”

8. DigiNet Program Removal/Reinstall 8.1 DigiNet Program Removal NOTE: If you want to reinstall DigiNet program, you should consider belows first  Remove the existing DigiNet program already installed.  Delete Watch Dog Reader program (press Ctrl+Shift+Alt and F4 sequentially, and you can see Watch Dog Reader at the task bar buttons. Click and click again⊠ to erase)  Copy Drive A.dat file and Drive A.txt file for back-up. After DigiNet program is reset, those two files should back to C:\DigiNet\Data file. If not, some of saved image data may be lost in case. (press Windows Explore | [C:] | DigiNet | Data, and pick up Drive A.dat and Drive A.txt files)  For more detail, contact your dealer. ! 1 Double-click My Computer -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. 2 Select DigiNet Site and click Add/Remove. 4 Click OK. 3 Click Yes.

9. Video Driver Reinstall 1 Double click My Computer -> Control Panel -> Display. 2 Click Settings -> Advanced . 3 Click Adapter -> Change. 4 Click Next.

10. HDD CONFIGURATION Must be check !!

HDD Partition Setup Why does DVR have to be divided partition in Hard disk. ▶ As DigiNet save data to Hard disk, DVR is not overwrite to Hard disk but automatically format drive and save data to Hard disk. 1. After installing DVR and perform DVR at the beginning, format drive D and save data. 2. Automatically format drive E, if D drive is full. 3. Rest of the drive will be proceeded as same as No.2 4. If Hard drive is full, automatically format drive D again and save data and previous data will not be existed. ▶ Therefore, each partition of drive will be divided as possible as small size(1~2GB), but is need for your attention, if you have plan to add Hard disk. ▶ Each saving data drive will be divided from D to Y maximally If it is included backup system, the system will be required a drive, so last two drives will be made for backup. This is the example of “FDISK” when 20GB Hard is installed. 1 Insert Booting Diskette to A: drive and turn on the power. Then it will be boot by floppy diskette. Resulting in more efficient use of disk space on large drivers, and allowing disks over 2 GB to be IMPORTANT : If you enable large disk support and create any new drives on this Disk, you will not be able to access the new drive(s) using other operating system, including some versions of Windows 95 and Windows NT, as well as earlier versions of Windows of Windows and MS-DOS. In addition, disk utilities that Were not designed explicitly for the FAT32 files system will not be able To work with this disk. If you need to access this disk with other operating systems or older disk utilities, do not enable large drive support. Do you wish to enable large disk support (Y/N)……………………..….?
