He is the Edith R. White Distinguished Professor at the University of Redlands, in California. He is most famous for his poems “Breaking and Entering” and “Even Because”. Charles Bukowski Bukowski was a poet, novelist, and short story writer. Bukowski was influenced by the social, cultural, and economic ambience of the LA area. Charles Bukowski has published over sixty books. One of his most famous poems is “A smile to remember”. Next Slide Return to Main Menu

Laurie Lee In many of Lee’s biographies, it says that he was born and raised in the city of Slad. But his family says that that move was made when he was about three years old. This move affected his writing, which can all be seen in his autobiography entitled “Cider with Rosie”. His autobiography ended up being his most famous work. EE Cummings Edward Estlin Cummings was born on October 14 th, 1894, in Cambridge Massachusetts. Cummings was a professor of Sociology and Political Science at Harvard University. Fun Fact: Cummings became an ordained minister of the South Congregational Church. The five year period following his wife’s death is said to have resulted in his best work. Next Slide
