James 1:27 Proverbs 22:6 A ministry of Higher Education STO, Inc.

To come along side children in the state of Arizona who are in or have ever been in the foster care system. James 1:27 Religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after the orphans and widows in their distress and to keep one self from being polluted by the world. To share the Gospel with children in the state of Arizona who are in or have ever been in the foster care system. Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

To give an opportunity for *foster parents and adoptive parents to send their children to a private Christian school who otherwise would not be able to attend. * some restrictions apply To engage God’s people who believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, perfect in truth and without error in the original manuscripts and have a desire fulfill God’s pure and faultless religion to, “look after the orphan.”

Never Forsaken is a ministry realized through prayer and personal experience. The ministry is a dream of Higher Education STO’s (HESTO) Executive Director. One of the ministry’s responsibilities is to share the story of how individuals and businesses can help children in Arizona who have a special need in the area of educational support due to their unique journeys. HESTO is a 501(c)3 organization that focuses efforts in awarding scholarships to students who’s parents need and see the importance of a Biblically sound, academically strong education at a accredited private school. Children in or that have ever been in the foster care system, have been forsaken at one time or another. It is our responsibility as followers of Jesus Christ to share with these children that they are never forsaken by the one true father, God.

John and Ganeen Harstick John is a man of God with a heart for children. He himself has adopted 7 children from Arizona. He understands that every child has struggles but even more so those who have been abused, neglected, and forsaken need to have someone who cares enough to fight for them. Ganeen is a woman of God who’s heart aches for those hurting in foster care and for adoptive parents who are struggling to know how to help their children. She along with her husband, adopted 4 children and has 3 biological of her own. She understands the educational struggles, emotional turmoil, fear, and the maladaptive behaviors that some foster and adoptive families have to deal with. They share their God story in order to encourage, support, and give hope.

Christian Family Care – is supporting Never Forsaken by developing training curriculum, supplying training materials, and trainers when needed. Needed Volunteers Community awareness partners (parents, teachers, businesses, students,) to tell Never Forsaken’s story. Trainers- to help schools become trained in the program. Administration help- to organize and maintain records for the Never Forsaken program.

School year Partner with churches who embrace James 1:27 and Proverbs 22:6 Partner with 2-3 Christian schools who have been trained in working with the special needs of foster/adopted students. Award tuition scholarships to 1400 students who want to attend a trained and accredited Christian private school. Continue to partner with churches who embrace James 1:27, Proverbs 22:6 Double partnerships with Christian schools who have been trained in working with the special needs of foster/adopted students. Increase the number of awarded tuition scholarships to students who want to attend a trained and accredited Christian private school School year

Never Forsaken is a program for the purpose of educating the community, parents, and schools about the unique journey that foster/adopted students may have in regards to education. Its primary jobs are to: Communicate in the community the importance of education programs for foster/adopted students, Create partnerships with qualified trainers to train schools who want to participate in foster/adopted student’s Never Forsaken program Partner with churches, businesses, and individuals who embrace helping foster/adopted students. Never Forsaken’s volunteers receive no compensation for their involvement. Never Forsaken operates under the supervision of HESTO’s Board of Directors and direction of HESTO’s executive director. HESTO is the Arizona corporation responsible for fundraising, accounting procedures of donations received, awarding of scholarships, maintaining accurate records of scholarship paid, supplying donation receipts and annual charitable contribution reports. Funds received by HESTO are eligible for charitable contribution deductions OR TAX CREDIT per the Private School Tax Credit Program (A.R.S )

Thank you for taking the time to care. “Train a child the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6 NIV Notice: A student tuition organization cannot award, restrict, or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of a donor’s recommendation. A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer’s own dependent. (A.R.S ) For further information about the Never Forsaken program please call HESTO at Or send a note to goals.org
