Rome-Berlin Axis “The Axis Powers”

The Axis The Rome-Berlin Axis was the relationship between Mussolini and Hitler. Mussolini didn’t identify what anti-Jewish racism but as Germany grew stronger Italy issued anti-Jewish decrees They were against communism and democracies specifically Soviet Union and France October 1936 Italy and Germany announced their agreement to support their “parallel interests” Germany made a similar agreement with Japan and all three countries became known as the Axis Powers.

The Axis Powers The three major Axis Powers were Germany, Italy, and Japan. In May 1939 the relationship between Hitler and Mussolini transformed into an alliance which Mussolini called it “the pact of steel” In September of 1940 they singed the Tripartite Pact which officially founded the Axis Powers. Hungry, Romania, Slovakia, and Bulgaria joined the pact in November 1940 and March 1941. Germany became the unofficial leader of the Axis Powers because Germany had the most technologically-advanced armed forces.

The defeat of the Axis On September 8 1943 Italy was the first Axis partner to give up to the Allies. Romanian troops fought along side the soviets , Bulgaria surrendered as a communist-led fatherland front and then declared war on Nazi Germany. Germany occupied Slovenia and Austria the last days of April 1945 On May 7 1945 Nazi Germany surrendered to the Allies Japan fought alone until September 2 1945 when they surrendered.
