Hifi - press AUDIO at top Sony Vid DigSat DVD Notes: All keys as labelled except where indicated above. In order to view output from Hifi system, including video or satellite, first use TV mode at top then press 0. Switch on Hifi system by pressing AUDIO mode at top followed by ON, then select the source as indicated on the labels on this chart. Then press the mode key of that desired source by fining the relevant sheet in this prinout, and press whichever keys you wish in order to use that equipment, still referring to the sheet for that equipment (eg video, satellite etc) CassRadioMD Input select keys: DVD = DVD or CD CD = Cassette TUN = Radio TAP = Minidisc PH = Unused (phono) V1 = Sony video V2 = Spare V3 = Digital sat V4 = Unused MLT = Unused

The simplest way to switch on TV ready for use with Hifi is TV at the top then press 0. INPUT 1 (DVD key) switches TV over to direct feed from DVD player, for improved picture quality. ON/OFF PLAY STOP PAUSE SEARCH - DISPLAYMENU RETURNSETUP VOL + (Hifi) VOL - (Hifi) SEARCH + PROGRAM SLOW - VNR   ENT   NEXTPREVIOUS EJECT MUTE (Hifi) SLOW Notes: To get Hifi to display DVD, first [BUT ONLY IF YOU NEED TO SEE THE PICTURE, IE DVD BUT NOT CD] make TV display Hifi (TV mode, then 0), then AUDIO mode, DVD (towards bottom of remote on input select panel). Then DVD mode allows the above keys to function on the DVD player. ** To change region: Remove DVD and close. Press SETUP and right arrow to GENERAL, then down arrow. Press DISPLAY to see present region. Press CONDITION MEMORY followed by a new region number to change, followed by SETUP once more, then insert DVD. Must be in basic not advanced menu mode. CONDITION MEMORY ** DVD - press DVD at top (also for playing CD’s)

ON/OFF MENU FAST REWIND REC VOL + (Hifi) VOL - (Hifi)   EXECUTE   MUTE (Hifi) CH + CH - Notes: To watch Sony Video (or terrestrial TV), first make TV display Hifi output, press TV mode at top then 0. Next make Hifi display Sony Video, press AUDIO mode at top and V1 towards bottom(input selection panel). Now to control Sony video using above keys, press VCR mode at top, switch on using ON at top of remote. Use the video as normal to play/record tapes or watch terrestrial TV. If terrestrial TV does not appear, use INPUT SELECT (ENT key bottom right) up to 3 times until it does, then select the required channel DISPLAY CLOCK PLAY STOP PAUSE REW/SEARCH - FFW/SEARCH + NEXTPREVIOUS INPUT SELECT TIMER Sony Hi8 Video - press VCR at top Including watching ITV

ON/OFF REC VOL + (Hifi) VOL - (Hifi) MUTE (Hifi) CH + CH - Notes: The Panasonic video recorder is connected only to the Sony video recorder, due to a lack of inputs on the Hifi. So to watch the Panasonic video, go through the procedure for watching Sony video, but use the Sony video INPUT SELECT feature (ENT key) to select INPUT3. Then get remote to talk to Panasonic video by pressing CD at top, switch it on using ON at the top, and use as normal. To use VHS or Beta video, use the Panasonic, set to input A2 using INPUT SELECT (ENT key), use the big manual VHS/Beta switch, and run the machines either by their front panels or the old universal remote. PLAY STOP PAUSE REW/SEARCH - FFW/SEARCH + NEXTPREVIOUS INPUT SELECT TIMER SLOW MO SLOW + SLOW - REWIND TO ZERO Panasonic SVHS Video - press CD at top

ON/OFF REC VOL + (Hifi) VOL - (Hifi) MUTE (Hifi) LEVEL + LEVEL - Notes: To play a minidisc, first make the Hifi play the minidisc by pressing AUDIO mode at the top, followed by TAP (tape/minidisc input) near the bottom at the input select group of keys. Then press MD at the top to use the above keys. When recording on minidisc, slide its input selector switch (right hand side of minidisc recorder) to: OPT for recording digitally from CD COAX presently not used ANALOG for recording from all other sources. PLAY STOP PAUSE REW/SEARCH - FFW/SEARCH + NEXTPREVIOUS MUSIC SYNC (RECORD) ????? EJECT >10 MENU/NO YES CLEAR DISPLAY SCROLLNAME CHAR Minidisc - press MD at top
