Denmark

Denamrk is flat with little elevation; having an average height above sea level of 31 metres (102 ft). The highest natural point is Møllehøj at metres ( ft). The area of inland water is 700 km 2 (270 sq mi). Denmark has a temperate climate, characterised by mild winters, with mean temperatures in January and February of 0.0 °C and cool summers, with a mean temperature in August of 15.7 °C.

The flag of Denmark is a red and white Scandinavian cross (an off- center cross). The flag was originally a perfect square, but was later elongated. According to Danish legend, the flag fell from the sky on June 15, 1219, to the Danish King Valdemar II, who on that day defeated Estonia in battle (this would make it the oldest national flag in Europe still in use). The first recorded use of this flag was in the 1300s. Denmark national Anthem:

 The present day Denmark evolved from hunters and fishers to farmers.  Denmark was Christianized in the 10 th Century by Saint Anogar.  During WWII Denmark was the only country to help save the Jews from Germany by smuggling them out.  In 1994 Iceland declared its independance from Denmark.

 In 2002 Immigration to Denmark fell dramatically.  Fogh Rasmussen(prime minister) brought in strict laws for asylum seekers.  In February 2006 a Danish newspaper depicted the Islamic prophet Muhamed which set off a series of riots.  Fogh Rasmussen was narrowly elected for the 3 rd time in Fogh Rasmussen

Peter Schmeichel is a famous goal keeper from Denmark who played with man UTD at the peak of his career, he has now retired. His son kasper Schmeichel plays for Leister City. Christen Eriksen (born 14 February 1992) is a Danish professional football player, currently playing a midfield role for Ajax. He made his debut for the Danish national team in March 2010, and was the youngest player of the 2012 Fifa world cup in South Africa. In 2011, he was named Dutch Football Talent of the Year as well as Danish Football Player of the Year.
