Monitors Course time 30 minutes Ford. Rd. #110 Dallas, TX (800)

VGA DVI HDMI Command Center (Control Room) Dual Monitor Matrix Connection Types

VGA Types Normally Blue 15 pin D-Sub connector. All current DVRs ship with one of these connections. VGA cables are thick and require large holes for connector. Very difficult to put on the connector in the field. Normally max distance is 100 feet.

Some monitors only have a DVI connection so you will need a DVI to VGA convertor DVI Connection DVI connection on Monitor is usually a White connection.

HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) HDMI HDMI Connection on back of DVR Some TVs might have as many as six HDMI inputs HDMI Cables have same connector on both ends. Maximum cable length is 50 feet without extra devices

For Pulic View Monitors a Ceiling mount is required. The may connect to the drop ceiling or all the way up to the hard ceiling. Ceiling Mounts

The monitors allow stores to notify customers that they are being watched. Can be combined with Digital Signage. Public View Monitors PVM can have built in camera as pictured or camera can be mounted separately and displayed with regular monitor

IF not using built in Camera a T splitter can be used but it is best if you use an IV-CD102 ACCESSORIES CD-102 requires 12V power which can be split off of camera as the amp draw is very low.

If you have a camera you want to display directly on a VGA monitor you need to use an IV-TV2PC Media Conversion Accessories If you do not have a VGA monitor you can convert the other way or convert to HDMI IV-PC2TVIV-PC2HDMI

CAT5 cable can be used to send monitor signal longer distances and is easier to pull through walls. Monitor Extenders IV-UTP-VGAUSBIV-UTPHDMI-TA

A MATRIX is a way of displaying the same camera on multiple monitors or taking the cameras from a single DVR and spreading them across multiple monitors. We do not have physical Matrix for standalone DVRS Virtual Matrix can be created using CMS software running on client PC configured with one or two monitors. Matrix cards are available for CY and NW pc based DVRs that will allow connection to up to four BNC/Composite monitors. We can build a matrix device using cards from the NW family. Device is not DVR and does no recording. Free NVR software supports a basic virtual matrix but additional software can be purchased to create a video wall. MATRIX

All DVRS support at least one local monitor All stand alone DVRs support at least 2 monitors Spot/Call monitors only display live images ECO series only sequences one camera at a time LP series can sequence 1/4/9/16 (as can HD depending on number of channels) Loopouts can be used to display a single camera Cheaper to use a CD-102 and split the signal than to run a cable from cameras to DVR and back to PVM IV-811ZA and 1611ZA can have HDMI port added HDMI port is standard on LP and HD series DVRs Monitor Facts

HD Series DVRs can support two main monitors using the VGA and HDMI outputs. One can be used to display live and the other playback. One monitor can display multiple cameras and the other a single camera with Zoom ZJ models have VGA, BNC Main, BNC Spot ZA models have VGA, BNC configured as Main or Spot, optional HDMI LP models have HDMI, VGA, BNC configured as Main or Spot NVR can be configured to support two monitors but it may affect performance. (We did four monitors one time but it is not ideal) Monitor Facts
